What are some good Irish rock or folk bands?
Mike asked:
I already know and like Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphy’s but I was wondering if there are some other good Irish bands out there. I prefer rock or folk bands but I like just about every genre of music so whatever is suggested I’ll probably check out. Thanks for any help.

The Tossers. I listen to them and Flogging Molly a lot. The chieftans are pretty good to. I’ve only heard them a few time though.
Flogging Molly - it’s the best Irish music
well, the only one i can think of that every one else hast listed is Damien Rice…not really a band, but its folk, and he has an amazing voice. I suggest the album “O”

The Pogues played Irish folk but they had strong ties to the English punk movement (featured in the movie Sid and Nancy).
